Surya Mandir (The Sun Temple- Ranakpur)
Ranakpur is known for its marble ‘Chaumukha’ Jain temple. There is also a Sun temple managed by Udaipur royal family trust. The Sun Temple, also known as Surya Narayan Temple, is located near Ranakpur Jain temple. In the temple, The Sun (Suryadeva) is shown on his chariot. Sculptures of warriors, horses, and the carved images of celestial bodies on the wall of the temple reflect the artistic excellence of the people of that era. A large number of devotees come here to seek the blessings of the Sun God from all over the country.
